Chef George Patti is Chef/co-owner of M.E.A.T. Eatery and Taproom and the newly opened S.A.L.T. Fusion Cuisine. He was the Chef and Co-owner of the top rated Upper Florida Keys restaurant, Tasters Grille, from 2009 to 2015. These restaurants have been featured in USA Today Travel 10 Best.com, Travel + Leisure, Tasting Table, Social Florida Guide and Florida Travel and Life. In the past five years he has won local awards for Best Chef (three times in the Keys and once in South Florida’s Burgie Awards), his Yellowtail Entrée and Lobster Mac-n-Cheese, Best Overall Restaurant (Tasters Grille), Soups (twice),Desserts (twice), Burgers (twice) and four years in a row for his Smoked Fish Dip. Chef Patti has been featured in Bon Appétit Magazine for his grilled filet mignon with chocolate port wine sauce and tempura battered bokchoy. In 2003 during his time as Executive Chef and partner at Sweet Sop Restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale, he received glowing reviews in both the Sun-Sentinel and the Miami Herald newspapers. He has also been featured on the national television show, Finer Living, which showcased him preparing his signature dish, pan-seared scallops with sweet potato rum sauce and roasted scotch bonnet. Deck 84 Chef Jon Greening

As the Executive Chef at Deck 84, Jon Greening uses fresh seasonal ingredients and his appreciation of tropical Florida flavors to create a classic waterfront dining menu featuring innovative dining options and traditional favorites. Thriving off of the fast pace and creativity of the restaurant industry, Chef Greening explains his dedication by saying, “If you’re in a business for anything other than your passion, you’re not in the right business.” At Deck 84, Chef Greening uses fresh seafood, meat and produce sourced fresh daily to create a variety of crowd-pleasing dishes with Asian, Caribbean and American bistro influences. His culinary philosophy relies on the basics, emphasizing dishes prepared with the freshest ingredients to consistently offer the best flavors. In 2008, Chef Greening began his professional relationship with Restaurateur Burt Rapoport as the Sous Chef at Bogart’s Bar & Grille, an American bistro in Boca Raton. When Deck 84, Rapoport’s casual waterfront dining concept, debuted in 2010 in Delray Beach, Chef Greening was on-hand to open the restaurant from the ground up as the Executive Sous Chef. Growing up in South Bend, Indiana, Chef Greening recalls “always being passionate about food.” He was constantly surrounded by gardens and home-cooked meals, and received his first restaurant experience as a dishwasher at a small South Bend restaurant at 17 years old. In 2003, he received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Portland State University. While earning credits for a post-Bachelor degree in Accounting, he became intrigued by the Portland’s exploding culinary scene and resolved to learn about the slow food and farm-to-table movements. Intent on becoming a part of restaurant culture, he joined Pacific Coast Restaurants and started to really understand how the restaurant business worked and what dedication and passion it took to really succeed in this business. When Chef Greening is not in the kitchen, he enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with his friends and family.

Sybrite Pig Daniel Naumko

The Sybarite Pig is a From-Scratch Eatery & Beer Bar located on the NE corner of Glades Road and 441 inside the well-known Shadowood Plaza. Founded in 2012 by Daniel and Roxanna Naumko, “The Pig” (as the locals dearly call this hidden gem) has been focusing on elevated bar fare with flares of Eastern European and Latin American cuisine. Beer offerings are hand-picked by Daniel himself on a weekly basis and reflect his devotion to consistent regional and local ales and lagers and more complex European and American sours and wild ales. After 4 years of running a pretty ambitious food menu out of an inadequately equipped kitchen, The Pig just recently remodeled their back of the house and hired local up-and-coming Chef Dominic Diodata to head the new team. A new menu, featuring a collection of fan favorites and new creations by Chef Dominic, is being worked on and will be unveiled at an event sometime in June 2017.

Tap 42 Andrew Balick

Growing up in south Florida, Chef Andrew Balick attended the University of Florida, before he decided to pursue his culinary career at Johnson & Wales University. His love for the industry developed through a part-time job at a neighborhood restaurant, but his skill refined through on the job training with notable local chefs. As Clay Conley's Sous Chef and later Chef de Cuisine at The Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale and South Beach properties, Balick refined his style for fine-dining and technical culinary acumen. In April 2013, Balick joined TapCo to design the menu for their flagship location of Tap 42 in downtown Fort Lauderdale. His inspiration is quite simple, "We want to produce food that people crave. It's all about consistency and quality. We aren't trying to reinvent the wheel, we simply want to put out the most consistent, delicious food all day, every day."
As TapCo expands to Miami and their highly anticipated Midtown Miami location at 3252 NE First Ave, Balick's focus is clear: "My plans are to help our culinary program to improve each day, and successfully create lasting and meaningful experiences for our guests and staff alike." Tap 42 is a Craft Beer Bar & Kitchen featuring modern interpretations of gastropub fare with 42 Craft Beers to choose from. Tap 42 was among the first concepts in Fort Lauderdale to combine signature architectural design with a chef-driven menu and craft beer and cocktail beverage program. Robbyns Martinez, a Cuban native, is the corporate chef of J.E.Y Hospitality Group. Martinez teamed up with restaurateur Marc Falsetto in 2010 to create the menu for ROK:BRGR and from there, Himmarshee Public House, TacoCraft and Pizza Craft which all have won numerous awards. Martinez is also working on a new menu for J.E.Y Hospitality’s newest concept, Proper Sandwich Fine Meats & Provisions, opening in Nov 2017. The ever expanding restaurant concepts have all been recognized on a national level. Robbyns is fulfilling his passion by sourcing local produce and sustainable ingredients and has created the diverse menus that feature modern takes on American and global comfort foods. Catering to a very diverse clientele, Martinez manages a team of 100 back-of-house staff across the group’s 11 locations. The award winning chef has won many accolades during his tenure with J.E.Y Hospitality Group including: “Best Burger in South Florida” on from WPLG Channel 10 news, Riverwalk Trust Burger Battle, Best New Restaurant in Broward and has received a ranking on The Top 50 Restaurants in South Florida from Miami Herald. In addition, ROK:BRGR was also named Top 25 Burgers in South Florida from Burger Beast and was featured in Paula Dean Magazine as one of the ten burgers to try in the country. Robbyns has also competed in the SOBEWFF in Miami in the famous Burger Bash. His food has brought life back to the historic Himmarshee Village.
